Artificial Atheist Returns

Artificial Atheist is back. The site has been rebuilt from the ground up: a new design, a clearer structure, and a publishing model that finally matches what the name always promised.

What changed

The earlier version of this site was a simple, hand-made affair — a handful of pages and a good idea. The idea was sound; the means to realize it weren't quite there yet. What's changed in the interim is not our ambition but the tools available to pursue it.

The redesign brings articles organized by subject, a reading experience built for long-form text, and light and dark modes with reader controls. Underneath that, the way articles come into existence is entirely new.

Why now

The honest answer is that the technology caught up. Language models have advanced to the point where machine-authored writing can be clear, structured, and genuinely useful rather than merely fluent. A publication premised on AI-generated content on reasoning and skepticism would have been a novelty a few years ago. It is now a workable idea.

What to expect

New articles across science, philosophy, secularism, and religion, published on a steady cadence. We'll keep this News section for the occasional note about the site itself. Everything else is the work — clear, fair-minded writing on the questions worth thinking about.
